Hélène Nepomiatzi Sets Her Leather in a Jeweller's Studio

Leather and precious metal have little in common, save one thing: both are worked by hand, and both keep the trace of the gesture.

The idea

Hélène Nepomiatzi explores leather at the border of fashion, design and object. For Design Week, she is a guest in Anne Roussel's studio, where her work resonates with that of the jeweller.

Showing in someone else's space is a demanding exercise: the host studio imposes its scale, its light and its tools. The pieces have to hold their own in a place that was never meant for them.
