Atelier Monochrome: grey and white porcelain from rue de Verneuil

Myrtille Ronteix hand-shapes bowls, vases and cups in porcelain biscuit, in Paris. From €80 to €650, on Beyit.

1 MIN · 5 October 2026

At 43 rue de Verneuil, in the 7th arrondissement, a studio-showroom where everything is white, grey or the colour of clay. Myrtille Ronteix, a former art director turned ceramicist, hand-shapes porcelain pieces you recognise by two things: the biscuit left bare outside, the glaze inside.

What she makes

Tableware, vases, lights. The material is always the same, porcelain, and the palette fits in one hand: white, grey, sometimes a natural tone. The work plays on contrasts. A grey biscuit bowl, matte and slightly rough outside, takes a satin white glaze inside, brushed like a wash. A relief pattern, matte white on grey, catches the light without ever shining. Traditional techniques for the shape, more recent processes for some patterns, but nothing is cast in series: every piece is made for the project.

What we picked

The tall grey bowl with a satin white interior, 23 cm across and 20 cm high, is the signature piece: €650. A large bowl with a relief pattern, €350. A medium oval bowl, €250. Vases run from €180 (medium, relief pattern) to €250 (large, glossy glazed interior). And to start small, a straight white bowl with grey pattern, €120, or a white pot, €80. Every piece is a one-off in stock, shipping €15.

Why it is in drop 001

Because it is exactly what the Atelier section stands for: one hand, one material, a restrained palette, and pieces that look like nothing on the shelves. Atelier Monochrome is one of the six studios in the first Beyit drop, opened on 1 October.

Atelier Monochrome's pieces are on Beyit, from €80 to €650, shipped from Paris. See the studio and its pieces.
