2 MIN · 5 OBJECTS IDENTIFIEDBeyit Selection is our monthly curation column. Ten pieces, vintage or new, spotted this month, with their exact price and the case for buying now. Issue #1, June 2026 — theme of the month: the objects you don't recognise unless you're in the trade.
The ten pieces of the month
1. Sciolari Sirio six-light chandelier, c. 1972

€4,800 · Selency
2. Carl Auböck bronze vide-poche, c. 1960
Pebble form, signed on the underside. The way into the Auböck lineage without paying furniture-format money (standing ashtrays start at €8,000).
€550 · Proantic
3. Pierre Jeanneret chair PJ-SI-25-A, 1955–1965
Teak, taut cane seat, compass legs. Restored condition, certified Chandigarh provenance with letter of authentication.

€240 · Astier de Villatte
6. Charlotte Perriand Berger stool
Cassina edition, drawn in 1953 for Les Arcs. Turned solid pine, three legs. The simplest stool ever designed — and the only one nobody ever spots in the feeds.
€1,290 · Cassina
7. Venini Cardine pleated vase, c. 1968
Blown Murano glass, sharp vertical pleats. "venini murano italia" mark engraved beneath the base. A reference piece for any Italian 1960s collection.
€2,200 · 1stDibs
8. Atollo 233 lamp, Vico Magistretti for Oluce
White opaline glass, 70 cm tall. The full-size version, rarer than the 239 (table). The mushroom you see everywhere, in its full format.
€1,480 · Silvera
9. 18th-century Murano mirror
Tinted blown glass, gadrooned frame. Original condition, foxed mirror plates (a sought-after effect — not a flaw). A piece Mollino could have bought.
€1,800 · Drouot, Decorative Arts sale, June
10. Casa Branca linen cushion, 60×60 cm
Heavy linen 380 g/m², bordeaux shade. Woven in Portugal by traditional methods. The textile reference of 2026, with a drape no Ikea linen will ever match.
€240 · Casa Branca
Methodology
Beyit Selection is curated by hand, drawn from objects spotted in the Beyit scans, the public salerooms (Drouot, Wright, Phillips), and the reference shops. No commercial affiliation dictates the selection — when a Selency or Cassina link is mentioned, it's because the piece is available there, not for any other reason.
Why monthly: good vintage rarely stays available more than four weeks. A quarterly selection would have missed half the pieces in this issue. Issue #2 will appear on 5 July. Theme: the new pieces that still warrant the new price in 2026.
